Jack White fever is abounding, as the former White Stripes guitarist and vocalist is set to release his greatly-anticipated debut solo album, “Blunderbuss,” on April 23 via White’s own label, Third Man Records, in partnership with Columbia.

Serving as the unofficial kick-off to promotion for the album, White is set to perform on longtime sketch TV show “Saturday Night Live” on NBC tomorrow (March 3), and he appears in a new ad for the episode along with guest host Lindsey Lohan. Check out the video promo at the bottom of the page.

White is scheduled to play some tracks off “Blunderbuss” on Saturday Night Live. Recorded at White’s Third Man Studios in Nashville, the singer and songwriter stated that the album’s tracks were “written from scratch” and “had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colors on my own canvas,” in an official statement. The album’s first single, “Love Interruption,” was already released at online outlets and on 7″ vinyl, the latter packaged with a non-album B-side called “Machine Gun Silhouette.”

White is also planning to hit the road to support “Blunderbuss” with a trek that kicks off March 10 in Chattanooga, Tenn. The tour hits just six U.S. cities before closing out May 26 in Quincy, Wash., at Sasquatch! Music Festival. White will also play Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend in June in the U.K. Will White add any summer shows to support the disc? Only time will tell. For now, find his current tour roster, here.
