Christian post metal-core band Wolves at the Gate release their new album July 3

Ohio post metal-core quintet Wolves at the Gate are setting their sights on July 3, when their Solid State Records debut, “Captors,” will reach fans’ ears. The Christian heavy music outfit recently premiered the video for their track “Dead Man” off the release, and the video showcases the band’s affinity for drama and raw, emotional music. Watch the video below.

“It was quite difficult for us to come up with a concept and treatment for this video that effectively communicated the lyrical content without literally following every single lyric,” guitarist and vocalist Stephen Cobucci said in a release. “But the joint effort from us, [director] Nathan Lundquist and Jon Ringle really brought a beautiful visual depth that we could have never conceived on our own.

“I am so very pleased with the CGI elements in the video as they are a perfect fit for the concept of the song and video. When Nathan approached me about shooting our performance shots in front of a green screen, I was apprehensive because I didn’t want to look like local TV weather men, but he completely helped communicate a beautiful Gospel message though the video.”

Solid State Records is billing Wolves at the Gate and label mates the Overseer as “the new breed” of bands in the next generation of post metal-core. Check out Audio Ink Radio’s review of the Overseer’s recent release, “We Search, We Dig,” here.
