Thousand Foot Krutch re-release their Welcome to the Masquerade album

Christian hard rockers Thousand Foot Krutch pack a history of 15 years together making nu-metal and modern rock on Seattle’s Tooth & Nail Records. Over the years, they’ve sold over 800,000 albums and nicked a slew of rock hits. Their latest release, 2009’s Welcome to the Masquerade, is a fan favorite, and the guys have re-released an exclusive “just-for-fan” edition of the album featuring three new tracks — “Shook,” “Take It Out Of Me” and “Anyone Else” — and never-before published band photos. The set dropped Tuesday (Oct. 11), and it’s available on iTunes, Amazon and retail stores.

Welcome to the Masquerade scored Thousand Foot Krutch three No. 1 Christian rock hits, including “Fire it Up,” “E for Extinction” and “Bring Me to Life,” the latter, not to be confused with Evanescence’s early rock hit by the same title. As for the mainstream market, the album notched a No. 15 active rock hit with the fist-pumping anthem “Fire it Up,” as well as various tracks featured in the action movie GI Joe, the Superbowl 2010, ESPN’s NCAA 2011 tournaments and various video game soundtracks.

The Toronto-area powerhouse rockers have been on the road all summer, including shows with the Newsboys, Manafest and Manic Drive. After the re-release of Welcome to the Masquerade drops, the guys will focus on their new collection of songs. They’re already working on new songs and recording in the studio, and the band recently spit out an update via their official Twitter account: “Update on the new album: Trev is about to hit up the studio to record vocals for the new album!” Expect the album to drop in 2012. That kind of dedication shows this band have no plans to slow down, even after a decade and a half together.
