Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl has released a new track from the ‘Sound City’ soundtrack featuring Corey Taylor

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl wants fans to check out a fresh track off the soundtrack for his new documentary, “Sound City.” Grohl has posted the new ditty, “From Can to Can’t,” online, and the track features vocals by Stone Sour and Slipknot singer Corey Taylor, as well as instrumentals from Grohl, Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen and former Kyuss bass player Scott Reeder. Now, that’s what we call a real collaboration!

“Sound City,” the documentary, documents the renowned Sound City Studios, where Grohl and Nirvana created the grunge rock band’s 1991 seminal Nevermind. The film offers interviews and performances from a long list of musicians who recorded at Sound City, including Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme and Alain Johannes, Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor, Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins and Rage Against the Machine’s Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk.

Sound City will get a special, one-night showing in select North American movie theaters on Jan. 31, and the film will arrive in stores the following day. The movie’s soundtrack, “Sound City — Real to Reel,” is set to drop on March 12.
