Carnival of Madness tour rolls out first batch of 2013 tour dates

The Carnival of Madness Tour recently announced its 2013 lineup, which features headliners Shinedown along with Papa Roach, Skillet, In This Moment and We as Human. Now, the festival’s organizers have rolled out the first round of tour dates, and the trek kicks off on Aug. 13 at the Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica in Cleveland, Ohio, with more dates pending.

All of the bands on the bill have released statements about their participation in this year’s trek.

“I can hardly wait for the Carnival of Madness,” said John Cooper, lead singer of Christian rockers Skillet. “Shinedown is one of the best bands in the business, and we’re excited to share the stage with them and great performers like Papa Roach, In This Moment and We As Human.  Also, it’ll be our first tour playing songs from our new album, RISE, so Skillet will be doing our best to bring the pain every night!”

Shinedown frontman Brent Smith added: “Carnival of Madness is more than a show—it’s an experience. This year, it’s all about reinvention. The culmination of five powerful and dynamic bands joining together to prove to the world that rock-n-roll is alive and well…”

Tickets for Carnival of Madness will go on sale beginning this Friday (June 7). For more information, head to the festival’s official website.
