Wayne Coyne from the Flaming Lips and Miley Cyrus are finished recording two classic Beatles songs
Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne and pop starlet Miley Cyrus have finishing recording two cover tunes by legendary rock group the Beatles. Last month, Coyne posted a message on his Instagram account hinting he and Cyrus were recording a version of “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.” Now, Coyne has taken to Instagram again, this time posting a video clip of a computer screen with a wave file showing and the sound of Cyrus crooning part of the Beatles tune “A Day in the Life.”

The Flaming Lips are also releasing a special vinyl 7″ with Devo for Record Store Day, as part of WMG’s “Side By Side Series,” which features Devo’s “Gates of Steel” and a previously unreleased cover of the song by the Flaming Lips. Record Store Day is this Saturday (April 19).
