Christian rap-rockers P.O.D. are steaming a new song, ‘This Goes Out to You’

P.O.D.’s new album, “The Awakening,” will drop later this summer, and the Christian rap-rock band has revealed the full track list for the set. “The Awakening” isn’t filled with one-off singles. Frontman Sonny Sandoval says the album is meant to be listened to from front to back.

“‘The Awakening’ is meant to be listened to in its entirety,” Sandoval said in a statement. “Every song ultimately explores a character dealing with life, making mistakes, fighting, trying. But we also live in a singles-type world, and it works on that level, too.”

“The Awakening” also features some guest appearances, including In This Moment frontwoman Maria Brink on the track “Criminal Conversations” and Lou Koller of the band Sick of It All on the song “Revolución.” Brink has been making the guest appearance rounds lately, as she also sings on the new Papa Roach single “Gravity.”

“This Goes Out to You,” the first single off “The Awakening,” is streaming on the band’s official YouTube page.

“The Awakening” will arrive Aug. 21.
