Styx gets down in Las Vegas

Styx rocked the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas in 2014 and released a concert album last year to celebrate the gig. Now, the classic rockers are readying a high-definition video of the 2015 live album, “Live at the Orleans Arena Las Vegas.” The brawny set will arrive via DVD, Blu-ray and as a digital download Sept. 2. Footage comes from the band’s performance in July 2014 during their Soundtrack of Summer tour with Foreigner and former Eagles guitarist Don Felder.

“Live at the Orleans Arena” packs popular Styx tracks such as “Too Much Time on My Hands,” “Renegade,” “Fooling Yourself (The Angry Young Man)” and “Rockin’ the Paradise.” It also offers a version of “Blue Collar Man (Long Nights)” with a guest appearance by Felder.

In addition to the live footage, the video release gives some insight into the minds of Styx band members and life on the road, with interviews with the band and its crew members. Other options with the release include the full concert straight through without the interviews, additional interview segments and a photo gallery.

“Fooling Yourself (The Angry Young Man)”
