Here’s where to catch U2’s tour to celebrate 30th anniversary of ‘The Joshua Tree’

We’ve been waiting for U2 to announce their 2017 tour dates to celebrate the 30th anniversary of “The Joshua Tree,” and now, those dates are here. U2 have announced they will hit the road and perform “The Joshua Tree” in full each night during a 30th anniversary tour of Europe and North America in 2017. As heavily rumored, the guys will also headline the 2017 Bonnaroo festival, which will take place June 8 through 11 in Manchester, Tennessee.

U2 announced the news on Twitter, tweeting, “The Joshua Tree. Every song. Every show. North America & Europe this summer,” as well as a throwback video of U2 and a link to the dates of the tour.

“In July, the tour brings (U2) home to Croke Park in Dublin, 30 years after the original Joshua Tree Tour’s two memorable shows at the Dublin venue in June 1987,” the group stated on its official website.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will open for U2 on the group’s European tour. In the U.S. and Canada, Mumford & Sons, the Lumineers and OneRepublic will open. Tickets for the trek, titled U2: The Joshua Tree Tour 2017, will go on sale Jan. 16 in Europe, Ireland and the U.K. and Jan. 17 for the U.S. and Canada dates.
