Story by Charles Ken

Evanescence have fall plans for a tour and new (kind of) album

Amy Lee and Evanescence will embark on a lengthy tour this fall dubbed the Synthesis Live tour to promote their upcoming album, Synthesis, which re-imagines tracks from the group’s catalog with special electronics and a full orchestra.

The tour will kick off Oct. 14 in Las Vegas and run through a Dec. 19 date in Portland, Oregon. For ticket information, head to Evanescence.com.

“This is a total passion project for me. There are so many layers in our music, underneath the huge drums and guitars,” frontwoman Amy Lee said in a statement.

“This will be our first time touring with orchestra and I’m so excited to perform this way — really focus on the vocals, and the emotion and the story we’ve built over the years,” Lee added.

Synthesis, out this fall, and will include not only the re-imagined tracks from the past but also two new songs. Look for Evanescence to release the Synthesis version of their chart-topped “Bring Me to Life” on Friday (Aug. 18).
