Metal icon Megadeth is putting a new spin on their debut album

The Megadeth crew has announced that they will release a deluxe reissue of their seminal 1985 debut album, “Killing Is My Business…and Business is Good!,” this summer with plenty of goodies. The special, 18-track set, aptly called “The Final Kill,” will arrive on June 8.

“The Final Kill” will feature a remastered version of the original “Killis Is My Business” album, as well as a collection of live tracks and demos, new cover art and an updated take on Megadeth’s cover of the 1966 Nancy Sinatrapop chart-topper “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’.”

As for the “These Boots Are Made for Walkin'” cover, Megadeth’s original cover song was criticized by the track’s writer and producer, Lee Hazlewood, and taken off the album. But, this latest version features “recut vocals true to Lee Hazelwood’s vision,” according to a release, offering a different kind of tribute to the legendary song.

Megadeth – which features Dave Mustaine, David Ellefon, Kiko Loureiro and Dirk Verbeuren – is entering their 35th anniversary as a band, and the “Killing Is My Business” reissue is arriving in conjunction that celebration. The band’s latest release, 2016’s “Dystopia,” scored a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance.
