Bon Jovi Celebrate New Album, ‘2020,’ with Critique from Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen

Jon Bon Jovi and his band, Bon Jovi, are out with their new album, “2020,” and the set got reviewed by some major players: Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen
Bon Jovi released their new album earlier this month, and Jon Bon Jovi tells The Mirror that he got Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney to critique his new set.
“Bruce came over to my house and we sat down and listened to 2020 and (Springsteen’s upcoming album) ‘Letter to You,’ Jon told the publication. “We’re both from New Jersey and have known each other long enough not to pull any punches. But he applauded 2020…and his album’s great.”
As for playing it for McCartney, Jon said, “It was the same when I played it for Paul, just the two of us in a room,” adding, “I hadn’t finished recording ‘Lower the Flag,’ so I picked up a guitar and played it in person. Singing a new song live in front of a Beatle took some courage.”
In personal news, Jon and his wife of more than 30 years, Dorothea, are on this weeks’ cover of People magazine and discuss their successful marriage in the magazine’s featured article.
Jon told People their secret to a longstanding marriage is, “Mutual respect. Having grown up together and grown together. And we really like each other. We want to hang out.”
He continued, “We work hard at it, but we enjoy each other and we never fell for the trappings of what celebrity can do.”
