Rock News: The Foo Fighters’ new album hits stores April 12, and the deets are coming slowly but surely

In typical Foo fashion, Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters have released details on their upcoming full-length slowly, mysteriously. But as of this week, most of the info has surfaced:

1) Release Date: April 12 (April 11 in the UK)

2) Title: Wasting Light

3) Single: “Rope,” out March 1

4) Video: “White Limo,” watch the video, which features Lemmy from Motorhead.

5) Producer: Butch Vig (Nirvana, AFI, Green Day). Recorded at Grolh’s home in California’s San Fernando Valley, the guys recorded Wasting Light on analog tape with no computers and no software.

6) Nirvana Legacy: For the first time, Nirvana bass player Krist Novoselic played on some rock songs; notably, “I Should Have Known.”
