Lollapalooza 2011: Eminem, Foo Fighters, Muse, Crystal Castles
Rock news – Alternative bands unite for legendary music festival
Oh, baby. Lollapalooza celetrates its 20th birthday this year (much like Pearl Jam and Dave Matthews, to boot), and they’re doing it in style. While the full line-up drops in April, The Chicago Tribune‘s Greg Kot reports the music festival has already booked headliners Eminem, Foo Fighters, Muse, Best Coast, Girl Talk, Lykke Li and Crystal Castles, the latter who has collaborated with Robert Smith of The Cure.
Lollapalooza happens August 5-7 in Chicago’s Grand Park. Of course, everyone is waiting with baited ears for the new Foo Fighters album, out April 12, and you can stream the Foo’s new songs on the band’s online channel.
