Rock News: Random rock headlines of the week (Gibson.com)

-Limp Bizkit + Lil Wayne: Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst says Lil Wayne has added vocals to the band’s new album, reports NME.com. The rapper lends his famous rhymes to a track called, “Ready to Go,” which is slated to be included on the rap-rock band’s fifth studio album, Gold Cobra. The announcement came via Twitter (Gibson).

-Blink-182, Linkin Park Help Japan: Blink-182 are doing their part to get involved in efforts to help the victims of Japan’s recent earthquake and tsunami. The pop-punk group’s singer, Mark Hoppus, has launched an eBay auction site on which he’s auctioning off a number of rare items to raise funds for the survivors of the 8.9-magnitude quake. Alternative rock band Linkin Park is getting involved, as well (Gibson).

-The Strokes Stream New Album. New York-based alternative rock band The Strokes are streaming their fourth studio album, Angles, online. The album, which drops March 22 in the U.S. and March 21 in the U.K., is available to hear at their official website (Gibson).
