Haste the Day Say ‘Goodbye’ With Live Album Set

Haste the Day’s Live CD / DVD Promises Metal-Core Memories

Great things usually don’t happen overnight, and that’s the case with Haste the Day’s new live CD / DVD set. “Haste the Day vs. Haste the Day” took over a year to record and package, and now the time has finally arrived for the boys to unbridle the double-collection on Sept. 13.

The set includes performances from members old and new and is an overview of the band’s six album releases and over a decade’s worth of material. Haste the Day filmed the package at the all-ages music venue Rhino’s in Bloomington, Ind., on June 29 of 2010, which was also the Christian metal-core band’s album release show for their LP, Attack of the Wolf King. Wolf King went onto debut No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart last year.

Brian Thorburn of Threshold Studios engineered and mixed the live CD. He also produced, engineered and mixed the band’s popular cover of the Black Eyed Peas’ track, “Meet Me Halfway.” Find the full track listing on the Solid State Records album release page.

The accompanying DVD, also filmed at the Rhino’s concert, will “give fans new and old a chance to see all previous and current members of Haste The Day perform songs from each era of the band’s career,” according to a release. Sounds like the proper way to say “goodbye” to one of metal-core’s youngest pioneers.
