Alter Bridge unleash ‘Live at Wembley’ in March

The gentlemen of Alter Bridge are gearing up to release their upcoming DVD, “Live at Wembley,” and to get fans in the spirit, they’ve released a sneak peak of the upcoming concert film. Watch the hard-rocking clip below.

“Live at Wembley” features footage from Alter Bridge’s sold out performance November 29, 2011, at London’s legendary Wembley Arena. The blockbuster set shows singer Myles Kennedy, guitar legend Mark Tremonti, bass player Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips shattering through an intense 21-song set, packing hits such as “Blackbird,” “Rise Today,” “Watch Over You” and “Slip to the Void.” Filmed with 16 high-definition cameras, “Live at Wembley” will reach stores March 27 in Blu-ray and DVD, and an additional 3D set will arrive this fall.

Tremonti says performing at Wembley Arena was “fun right from the start.” “When the tour was booked, we saw that there were a few arenas, Wembley being one of them,” he told Music Radar. “We were excited and nervous, wondering if the tickets would sell. They did, and we were blown away.

“The first four or five songs of any set are usually pretty nerve-racking; those are the tunes where we’re finding our footing and trying to get comfortable. But Wembley was different. Even with all of the cameras and the fact that we were filming and we couldn’t make any mistakes, it was fun right from the start.”

He added that before performing at Wembley, Alter Bridge took the time to pay tribute to a special fan. “Before the show, we did meet a fan who is sick. That was a pretty special moment for us,” he said. “Whenever there’s a situation like that, whether it’s Make A Wish or any other kind of foundation, anybody that reaches out, we always try to do what we can to lift somebody’s spirit. Taking a little time out of our day to meet with someone who’s going through something pretty rough, that’s the least we can do.” (Photo credit: Ashley Maile.)
