Sub Pop and TOMS teaming up to release a shoe in honor of label’s 25th year

Longstanding Seattle-based indie record label Sub Pop is gearing up to celebrate its 25th anniversary with their Silver Jubilee festival, set to take place July 12 and 13 in Seattle. Now, the label has unveiled a line of shoes – yes, shoes – in celebration of the landmark.

Sub Pop has teamed up with TOMS to release a limited-edition shoe line celebrating the label’s Silver Jubilee 25th anniversary. The line offers the lace-up Paseo shoe in gray for men, as well as two different styles of the slip-on Classic in red for women and navy for men. All of the shoes in the collection feature a special Sub Pop design built into the shoe.

In addition to the actual shoe, ever pair arrives with a Sub Pop sampler featuring tunes from such Sub Pop artists as Mudhoney, Shabazz Palaces, METZ, King Tuff, Shearwater and more. This is all for a good cause, too, as TOMS will donate a pair of new shoes to a child in need for each pair purchased.

The Sub Pop shoes will go on sale starting July 1 via TOMS’ official website and the TOMS store in Venice, Calif. The shoes will also be available at Sub Pop’s Silver Jubilee.

Artists slated to perform at Sub Pop’s Silver Jubilee include Mudhoney, Greg Dulli, J Mascis and more.
