Linkin Park selling limited edition Linkin Park action figure of Transformers character Soundwave

Linkin Park have long enjoyed a relationship with Transformers, thanks to the band lending songs to all of the the Transformers movie soundtracks. Now, the guys have gone a bit further in their Transformers love, as Linkin Park’s, DJ Joe Hahn, has designed a limited edition Linkin Park imprinted action figure of the popular Transformers character Soundwave.

The active figure has something to do with music, too. The Linkin Park G1 Soundwave Transformer changes from a robot to a cassette player and arrives complete with four cassette minions that sit in its chest area. The figure stands at seven-inches tall.

The Linkin Park G1 Soundwave Transformer isn’t cheap. The figure costs $150 and is available via the SURU LA online store. Hats and t-shirts featuring the action figure are also on sale.

As for Linkin Park’s relationship with the Transformers movie soundtracks, the band “What I’ve Done” off 2007’s Minutes to Midnight appeared on the soundtrack for 2007’s “Transformers” movie; “New Divide” was the theme song for 2009’s “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”; and “Iridescent” off 2010’s “A Thousand Suns” appeared on the soundtrack for 2011’s “Transformers: Dark of the Moon.”

In other band news, Linkin Park have announced that they’ll release an album called “Recharged” on Oct. 29, featuring fresh interpretations of songs from their 2012 release, “Living Things.”
