Papa Roach have dropped ‘Born for Greatness’ and ‘Periscope,’ two new tracks off ‘Crooked Teeth’

Papa Roach has a hotly-anticipated new album on the way called “Crooked Teeth,” and fans don’t have to waitto hear some tracks off the set. The California hard rock band has unleashed two new tracks, “Born for Greatness” and “Periscope.”

“Periscope” shows a more pop-oriented side of Papa Roach with Skylar Grey singing some guest vocals. Grey has worked with everyone from Fort Minor (the side project of Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda) and X Ambassadors. It’s an extremely pop-heavy tune for Papa Roach.

Meanwhile, “Born to Greatness” is a much heavier track, in traditional Papa Roach style, with vocalist Jacoby Shaddix doing his characteristic rapping. Both of the tunes will appear on the upcoming album.

Papa Roach recorded “Crooked Teeth” with producer Nicholas “RAS” Furlong and Colin Brittain, as previously reported.

“The first time we met up with RAS and Colin, they said that (our 2000 album) ‘Infest” was on constant rotation when they were growing up and they wanted to bring back some of that fire,” Shaddix said in a press statement.

“Crooked Teeth” will hit stores and online outlets on May 19. It marks Papa Roach’s ninth studio album, and it will arrive on Eleven Seven.

The guys are also offering a plethora of extras with the album, depending on how much you’re willing to spend– everything from autographed merchandise to a private Papa Roach performance. For full details on Papa Roach’s upcoming album and various formats, visit the band’s Pledge Music page.
