Ozzy Osbourne and Zakk Wylde will tour together in 2017

Ozzy Osbourne and Zakk Wylde are back together. According to a new post on Ozzy’s official Facebook page, Wylde will be on Ozzy’s upcoming 2017 solo show dates.

“Rock fans rejoice,” the post reads. “For the first time in more than a decade, Ozzy Osbourne and Zakk Wylde are together again.”

Osbourne and Wylde first started making metal music together three decades ago. Since then, Wylde has grown to become one of the most respect metal guitarists of his era. Wylde has also blossomed with his own band, Black Label Society.

Wylde performed with Osbourne between 1987-1995, then again in 1998, from 2001-2004 and also from 2006-2009. Wylde’s guitar shredding can be heard on Osbourne’s studio albums “No Rest For the Wicked” and “No More Tears,” as well as three live albums.

Osbourne’s touring lineup will also include Blasko on bass, Tommy Clufetos on drums and Adam Wakeman on keyboards.

“I’m so happy to be getting back on the road with Zakk, Blasko, Tommy and Adam,” Osbourne said. “This is what I do. This is where I belong, on the road.”

“I’m really looking forward to the hardcore powahlifting training sessions with Ozzy as well as playing music in between sets of heavy squats, benching and deadlifts,” Wylde added.

Osbourne’s first live show of 2017 is July 14 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, at Rock USA.
