The guys of Alter Bridge are prepping a new live CD, documentary and rarities set

Anyone who has seen Alter Bridge live knows the rock band certainly brings it. From Mark Tremoni’s towering guitars to Myles Kennedy’s soaring vocals, the group delivers hard-charging live shows night after night.

Now, one of Alter Bridge’s big gigs is coming to a TV near you with “Live at the O2 Arena + Rarities,” a three-CD set featuring a recording of the group’s performance at the major London venue on Nov. 24, 2016.

In addition to the audio component, “Live at the O2” arena features a documentary about the concert with exclusive interviews with the members of Alter Bridge, their crew and their families. The collection also features a rarities disc with 11 limited-release tracks, as well as seven songs that have previously only been released in Japan.

Alter Bridge released a new studio album last year. That set, “The Last Hero,” boasts the mainstream rock singles “My Champion” and “Show Me a Leader.”

Kennedy recently told Audio Ink Radio that “Show Me a Leader” was “inspired by the political climate and state of the world, so with that said, I think we’re reflecting on how people seem to be feeling. I think the word to sum it up right now is ‘disillusionment.’”

Kennedy added, “A lot of people are scratching their heads, saying, ‘Where are we going, and how is this all going to pan out?’ So, while the record is inspired by a political vision, there’s no political agenda.”
