Tremonti is less than a week away from releasing the band’s new album, “A Dying Machine,” and Mark Tremonti and company have given fans a taste of the new record by sharing a new song, “As the Silence Becomes Me.” The melodic rock song is out now on digital outlets and can be streamed via YouTube below.
“As the Silence Becomes Me” is the fourth song Tremonti has unleashed from “A Drying Machine,” the others being “Bringer of War,” the title track and the album’s main single, “Take You with Me.” The album is a concept record that “takes place at the turn of the next century, where humans and fabricated beings called ‘vessels’ are trying to co-exist.”
“A Dying Machine” is a concept album, which “takes place at the turn of the next century, where humans and fabricated beings called ‘vessels’ are trying to co-exist,” according to a press statement. This is Tremonti’s first time writing a concept album, and “the music is inspired by a story that came to Mark while on the last Alter Bridge tour. During that time, the epic title track ‘A Dying Machine’ was born.” Mark Tremonti, of course, is known for playing lead guitar in both Alter Bridge and Creed.
