The rumors about Rage Against the Machine were true– the famed rap-rockers will reunite to headline the 2020 edition of Coachella

It’s official: Rage Against the Machine is reuniting in 2020. It’s the moment Rage fans have been yearning for a long time. Zack de la Rocha, Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk will headline the 2020 edition, which is set for the weekends of April 12-12 and 17-19 in Indio, California. This will mark the first time Rage has played together since 2011.

In addition to Rage Against the Machine, other headliners for the 2020 edition include Travis Scott and Frank Ocean. Additional performers set to take the stage are Calvin Harris, Lana Del Rey, Thom Yorke, Megan Thee Stallion, FKA twigs, Lewis Capaldi, Charli XCX, Lil Nas X and many others. Coachella made the big act announcement last night (Jan. 2) after teasing fans for a few hours leading up to the announce by retweeting old comments from fans asking for certain acts to perform at the 2020 festival. “Sorry just seeing this,” the festival joked as they retweeted some of those past requests.

Last year’s Coachelle festival featured headliners Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino and Tame Impala, so bringing Rage Against the Machine into the lineup this year offers a much-needed dose of rock.

While Coachella’s first weekend is already sold out, pre-sale tickets for Weekend 2 go on sale Monday (Jan. 6) at 12 p.m. PT via Coachella.com.
