Buckcherry Releases Unplugged Set, ‘Acoustic Sessions, Vol. 2’
Buckcherry has followed up their “Acoustic Sessions, Vol. 1” release with a new set of tracks recorded raw and unplugged
With bands across the world on lockdown due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, there’s no shortage of new music coming from bunkers everywhere. Now, Josh Todd and the guys of Buckcherry have released a new EP from lockdown, called “Acoustic Sessions, Vol. 2.”
The set features unplugged versions of two songs from the group’s 1999 self-titled debut album, “For the Movies” and “Check Your Head.” Both songs are available for download via digital outlets.
“Acoustic Sessions, Vol. 1,” dropped in February, with the promises of more editions on the way. That set featured unplugged performances of the 15 tunes “Sorry” and “Carousel.”
In other news, a new, plugged-in Buckcherry record is currently in the recording phase. The upcoming album will mark Josh Todd and the band’s follow-up to 2019’s “Warpaint.” The band also has more than 60 shows scheduled through the end of 2020, but Buckcherry warns those dates are tentative due to COVID-19 and various states’ restrictions on live performances.
“We are still hoping to see you at shows in 2020,” the band stated on social media. A press release states to check the band’s social sites for updates on shows being postponed, canceled or approved to go forward.
