Watch Brent Hinds get engaged to his girlfriend at a Mastodon show
Here’s a story that will even make even the hardest-hearted metalhead melt. Mastodon’s gig in Birmingham, Alabama last Friday (April 28) got romantic – really romantic – when guitarist Brent Hinds purposed to his girlfriend on stage towards the end of the show.
Hinds, who hails from Alabama, asked his girlfriend to come on the stage during the concert’s encore. Then, he bent down on one knee to ask for her hand in marriage in front of the entire crowd. Her answer was a definite “yes.”
Hinds was the final bachelor among the Mastodon band members, so it looks like the full band is off the market, ladies.

Mastodon is currently on the road to promote their latest studio album, “Emperor of Sand.” The band is in Silver Spring, Maryland, tonight (May 2).
The tour, which includes openers Eagles of Death Metal and Russian Circles, continues in North America through the end of the month, and then the guys hit Europe in June.
