Incubus Reschedules Las Vegas Residency

Story by Cat Badra

Brandon Boyd and the Incubus crew has rescheduled the shows for their Las Vegas residency at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The band’s four-show stint will run Feb. 2 and 3, as well as March 30 to 31.

Incubus was originally slated to perform the residency for five concerts starting on Oct. 7, but the handful of dates was postponed after the tragic Oct. 1 mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest music festival in Las Vegas.

“To our friends in Las Vegas, we’re sorry to have made you wait, but we’re excited to come see you next year with our rescheduled shows at The Joint!” Incubus wrote in an official statement. “We love ya and can’t wait to hang!”

In addition to the rescheduled Las Vegas residency, Incubus will be taking their show overseas, performing concerts in South Africa, India, New Zealand and Australia.

Incubus recently celebrated the 20 year anniversary of their famed “S.C.I.E.N.C.E” album. “I can’t believe it, but I also can,” Boyd told The Aquarian. “We’ve been a band for 26 years, you know. We are celebrating our 20th anniversary of ‘S.C.I.E.N.C.E.’ as well, we are celebrating all around! And what a better way to do so then by putting out a new record?”

The record he’s referring to is Incubus’ latest release, “8,” which dropped in April of this year.
