Slayer will be back in North America next year for a new leg of the legendary metal band’s farewell tour
Slayer is returning to North America in 2019. The new tour stops will set May 2 in Phoenix, Arizona, and run through a May 25 date in Mansfield, Massachusetts.
Openers for this run are a bit different than Slayer’s previous final tour dates. While Lamb of God will still open on the tour, additional support will come from Amon Amarth and Cannibal Corpse. For additional ticket information, head to Slayer.net.
In addition to Slayer’s 2019 North American dates, the band will also make appearances in Australia, Japan, the South Pacific and Europe next year. It’s not the end for Slayer, either, as the official release states that more dates will be announced.
Slayer closed out the latest leg of their European last weekend. For the last few dates of the trek, former Machine Head guitarist Phil Demmel filled in for guitarist Gary Holt, as Holt had to head home to take care of his father. Holt is expected to tour with Slayer for the newly announced dates.
