Slayer and Anthrax are among the major metal names slated to perform at the 2019 Riot Fest, and as expected, the bands are surrounded by a roster of mainly punk and alternative bands. Slayer is one of the festival’s headliners, along with Blink-182 and The Raconteurs. The 2019 Riot Fest is set for Sept. 13 through 15 in Chicago.
The rest of the Riot Fest lineup features Bikini Kill, Rise Against, The Flaming Lips, The Struts, Gwar, Patti Smith, Dashboard Confessional, Ween, Bloc Party, Taking Back Sunday, Against Me!, PVRIS, Descendents, Violent Femmes, Rancid, Manchester Orchestra, Andrew W.K., grandson, I Don’t Know How But They Found Me, The Damned Things, The B-52s, Jawbreaker, Bob Mould, Guided By Voices, Ride, Pennywise, Hot Snakes, American Football, Hot Water Music and more.
Blink-182 was already announced as a headliner for the festival, following their cancellation at the 2018 festival because of some health issues.
This performance will be extra special for Slayer, who say the 2019 Riot Fest performance will mark their final Chicago and Milwaukee-area concert on the band’s farewell world tour.
