Shinedown brings their “Monsters” to life with a new, animated music video

Shinedown already released a music video for their latest single “Monsters,” but the band has decided to get animated and release a new video for the same track with colorful cartoons. While the first music video for “Monsters” showed a dramatic, theatrical portrayal of the song, this new clip uses animation to bring the monsters in the song to the forefront. “‘ATTENTION ATTENTION’ is all about not being afraid to fail and not being afraid period because you’re not going to be defined by your failures, you will be defined by the fact that you refuse to give up,” frontman Brent Smith tells Billboard. “Your monsters may be real, but that doesn’t mean you have to give into them.”

“Monsters” recently reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Songs Chart, scoring Shinedown its 14th top song.

“It’s significant and it means a great deal to us because of the audience,” Smith told Billboard of the No. 1 position. “They are the ones who allowed us to have this platform and ultimately have always allowed us to be ourselves. The achievements are very appreciated and we will always be humble in regards to everyone that supports the band around the world…”

Shinedown is currently on the road to promote their latest album, “ATTENTION ATTENTION,” which features the song “Monsters.” The tour runs through the end of July and features support from Badflower, Dinosaur Pile-Up and Broken Hands. View the full roster of tour dates here.
