Slipknot is enjoying one of its greatest years, says Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan

After a few years away that felt more like an eternity to Slipknot fans, the band is back this year with a new album and major U.S. tour. It’s not only a great time for Slipknot fans, it’s a great time to band members.

In fact, percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan tells Kerrang! that 2019 is the “greatest time of Slipknot.”

“It’s just a wonderful time to be in Slipknot, to be around Slipknot, and it’s a wonderful time to watch and experience Slipknot,” Clown said in the interview. “I feel like everything we are is working at its full potential.”

Clown continued, saying that he’s having “the most fun I’ve ever had” right now in Slipknot.

“Our management, booking agent, lawyers, label, our fans, ourselves…I feel like all of us are just working to the best benefit of Slipknot to get the vision out,” he added.

Slipknot released their new album, “We Are Not Your Kind,” last month. The group has spent much of this summer on their North American Knotfest Roadshow tour. Slipknot also recently announced the full lineup for Knotfest Mexico 2019, and the bill will feature Godsmack, 311, Evanescence, Papa Roach, Bullet for My Valentine, Nothing More and more.
