Pearl Jam will release their 11th studio album, “Gigaton,” on March 27

After years of speculation, Pearl Jam has finally officially confirmed the details of the legendary grunge band’s new album.

Pearl Jam’s 11th studio album, which marks their follow-up to 2013’s “Lightning Bolt,” is named “Gigaton” and will hit stores March 27.

“Making this record was a long journey,” guitarist Mike McCready said in a statement.

“It was emotionally dark and confusing at times, but also an exciting and experimental road map to musical redemption,” he added. “Collaborating with my band mates on ‘Gigaton’ ultimately gave me greater love, awareness and knowledge of the need for human connection in these times.”

As it turns out, Pearl Jam will, indeed, “gig” in support of “Gigaton” with a North American tour this spring. The trek will kick off March 18 in Toronto and run through a two-date stand in Oakland, California, on April 18 and 19. For ticket information, head to
