Styx, Halestorm, Black Crowes Members and More to Participate in Six String Salute Streaming Event
Six String Salute will feature performances from band and stories from crew members to benefit Live Nation’s Crew Nation global relief fund for live music crews
A new, virtual concert called Six String Salute will take place on Sept. 17 to support and celebrate the touring and venue crews who are so crucial to keeping live music going strong.
Six String Salute will feature guitarists and guitar-centric bands giving exclusive performances and sharing their own rock ‘n’ roll stories to benefit Crew Nation, a global relief fund for live music crews.
The event will stream via Live Nation’s YouTube channel and Live From Home platform, with 100% of net proceeds benefiting Crew Nation.
Acts lined up for the event include Halestorm, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Steve Vai, Tommy Shaw of Styx performing with the Cleveland Youth Orchestra, Rich Robinson of the Black Crowes, Rik Emmett of Triumph, Joe Satriani, Joel Hoekstra of Whitesnake/TSO, Frank Hannon of Tesla and more.
Other artists set to appear include Richard Williams of Kansas, Alex Skolnick of Testament, Jennifer Batten, Dave Pirner of Soul Asylum, Big Head Todd & The Monsters, Ross the Boss, Joyous Wolf, Nick Perri and more. A special, triple guitar performance from Alice Cooper’s Nita Strauss, Tommy Henriksen and Ryan Roxie is also on tap.
Crew members will also participate in the show and share their stories from the road.
Nationally syndicated radio personality Steve Black of The Chop Shop will host Six String Salute. The event is being organized by Manic Merch, The Chop Shop Guitar Show, Chipster PR, Sun Broadcast Group and Live Nation.
