David Lee Roth, Billie Eilish, Nikki Sixx Items Going for Bid in MusiCares Auction

The upcoming MusiCares Charity Relief Auction will feature items from Billie Eilish, Van Halen’s David Lee Roth, Motley Crue’s Nikki Six and more

MusiCares is kicking off its MusiCares Charity Relief Auction, which will raise funds for those in the music business impacted by the ongoing pandemic. The auction, which will start on Jan. 31, will boast merchandise from Billie Eilish, David Lee Roth, Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx, Foo Fighters, Joe Walsh, The Who’s Pete Townshend, Queen’s Brian May, Chris Cornell and more.

Billie and James Bond star Daniel Craig have teamed up to auction off a lithograph of the single artwork of the Bond theme song “No Time to Die,” autographed by both of them. Roth’s offering is a black jacket decorated with rhinestones that Roth sported during Van Halen’s gamed 2007-2008 tour. Foo Fighters will auction off autographed drumheads, plus a pair of used drumsticks signed by Taylor Hawkins and a Foo Fighters set list.

Motley Crue bass player Nikki Sixx will offer up an autographed bass guitar and handwritten note, while Walsh has a signed Gibson guitar as his item of interest. Townshend has donated a blue jumpsuit and a beige coat he donned onstage during The Who’s 2019 tour. May will auction off an autographed black long-sleeved shirt and a signed photo of him performing at the 2012 Olympics.

More items from from The Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir, who will offer up an autographed American Beauty 50th anniversary guitar signed, and Patti Smith, who has donated a set of of books and albums, some of which she autographed. Billy Idol’s handwritten lyrics to his tracks “Trouble with the Sweet Stuff” also is among the items up for auction.

Some items are still in the process of being registered on the auction’s website, including various guitars, artwork, clothing and more donated by late Soundgarden and Audioslave vocalist Chris Cornell’s widow, Vicky.
