The Devil Wears Prada to Release ‘Dead Throne’ in September
Metal Corner: The Devil Wears Prada readies new full-length
The Devil Wears Prada are busy metallers this summer, with a headlining stint on the annual Vans Warped Tour caravan plus a new album on the way.
“We love playing Warped because we love the crowds and the shows, and that’s simply the best part,” lead singer Mike Hranica told On Milwaukee. “It’s never about partying, drama or things like that. I will say it’s cool to spend lots of time with our friends’ bands, though.”
The American metal-core band have announced the title and release date for their new album. Dead Throne — the fourth LP for Hranica, Chris Rubey (lead guitar), Jeremy DePoyster (rhythm guitar, vocals), Andy Trick (bass), Daniel Williams (drums) and James Baney (keyboards) — will arrive on Sept. 13.
So far, the album’s single, the chugging “Born to Lose,” is getting a good response from Warped Tour-goers.
“They’ve only heard ‘Born to Lose,’ but we’re quite content with the reaction,” Hranica said. “There’s a touch of bitter here and there, although we aren’t too concerned. The record is meant to be a whole collection of songs, which is hard to express when we only have one online right now.”
