Volbeat Set Out on North American Tour with Cold
Volbeat and Cold Tour the U.S.
Danish metal rockers Volbeat crossed the ocean to play the states last March and April, and in the process, sold out nearly every show on the itinerary. Now the men are back in the U.S., this time touring with modern metal favorites Cold.
The tour corresponds with Volbeat’s recent release of the deluxe edition of their album, Beyond Hell / Above Heaven. Listening to the album, it’s clear Volbeat carry an extensive range of influences: rock ‘n’ roll, punk, rockabilly, heavy metal, classic rock. The release has sold over 300,000 copies worldwide to date and debuted No. 1 on sales charts in their home country of Denmark, as well as Finland and Sweden. It also debuted in the Top 10 in a six other countries.
Volbeat’s current single, “Fallen,” is rising up the active rock chart, and currently sits inside the Top 10. The deluxe edition of Volbeat’s album album features the original album, including the single “Fallen,” and a new DVD, “Return to Tilburg.” (Read Audio Ink Radio’s interview with frontman Michael Poulsen on the features page.)
