As I Lay Dying Cover Judas Priest on Anniversary Album
As I Lay Dying celebrate 10 years with Decas
As I Lay Dying are coming up on a major metal-core milestone: anniversary No. 10. To celebrate, the gents will release a new album, Decas, on Nov. 8, featuring three new tracks, several cover songs and remixes by alternative rock band Innerpartysystem, Kelly “Carnage” Cairns, Dillinger Escape Plan’s Benjamin Weinman and Big Chocolate. As for the artists As I Lay Dying picked to cover, it’s a blistering mix, including Judas Priest, Slayer and the Descendents. The band also just released the album’s first single, “Paralyzed.”
As I Lay Dying will hit the road this November to support Decas on the band’s “Decade of Destruction Tour.” The tour begins on Nov. 30 and runs through mid-December, bringing together As I Lay Dying, Of Mice and Men, the Ghost Inside, Iwrestledabearonce and Sylosis. Now, that sounds like a mighty group, doesn’t it?
All of the bands on the tour are hot up-and-comers on the metal and hardcore scene, so this is a must-see tour for any budding heavy music fan. The band keeps adding shows, so check their official website for updated tour dates.
