Disturbed Release High-Octane Trailer for, The Lost Children [VIDEO]
Disturbed drop collection of B-sides, rarities and more Nov. 8
Disturbed have always shined at chugging out machine gun-like passages of musical viciousness, so when the guys announced they’d be going on an “indefinite hiatus” after this past summer’s Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival, fans freaked. There’s still no official word on if or when Disturbed will be back, but members have assured followers that they couldn’t see their life, permanently, without Disturbed.
With fans going through withdraws until the rekindling happens, the Chicago-based outfit are throwing them some new listening material in the form of the band’s first-ever collection of B-sides and rarities. The Lost Children will drop Nov. 8 and will include a previously unreleased song, “Mine,” a song called “3” that was used as a benefit for the West Memphis Three as well as B-sides and other exclusive bonus tracks. Watch the official trailer for the collection, below.
As for the time off, members maintain it has nothing with personality clashing in the band. The gentlemen just need some time off. “Many of those reasons are personal reasons, and many of those reasons have to do with the state of the music industry in general and the demise of hard rock and metal right now,” lead singer David Draiman recently told Billboard. “The industry is still in a state of reformation; it is on the verge of collapse, in my opinion. It’s a frightening time, and I think after 10 to 12 years straight of touring it’s just a good time for Disturbed to go away for a while and wait for the Phoenix to rise from the ashes.”
