Fear Factory and Shadows Fall Reveal Upcoming U.S. Tour Dates
Metal bands Fear Factory and Shadows Fall unite for 2012 tour
Get ready to take in some serious metal music, because heavy music vets Fear Factory and Shadows Fall have announced a 2012 North American tour for this spring, and they’re gathering up the Browning, the Devastated and Legacy of Disorder to open. The run is set to kick off May 1 in San Antonio, Texas, and hit major cities including New York City, Baltimore, Denver, Pontiac, Mich., and others. Find a full list of tour dates at the end of the post.
The tour is in support of Fear Factory’s latest release, “The Industrialist,” which is due out this summer in Europe via AFM Records and in the U.S. on Candlelight. “This album perfectly captures the true nature of Fear Factory,” promises Dino Cazares and vocalist Burton C. Bell. “The industrial / metal blend is a strong return to our original concept for Fear Factory.”
Fear Factory also recently announced their new bass slinger: Ohio-based musician Matt DeVries. Accepting the offer to join Fear Factor, DeVries says, was a no-brainer. “”I have been asked by Dino and Burton to join one of my favorite bands!” he said. “I have been a fan of Fear Factory since 1992, and I could not be more excited to be part of this incredible band. We have shared the stage many times together and now I’m beyond stoked to be on the same stage playing together. Thank you to all my fans worldwide for sticking by me and I will be seeing you all on the road very soon.”
