Nickelback Announce Additional 2012 Tour Dates with Bush
Canadian rock band add nine tour dates to 2012 itinerary
“How You Remind Me” originators Nickelback have extended their spring / summer North American tour, and the new shows include bonus dates in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, Indiana and beyond. The trek now features a whopping 49 cities total, with Nickelback heading up a lineup that also includes Bush and Seether on select dates. Check out the original tour dates, here, and the just-added dates, below.
Bush will join Nickelback on the new dates, and additional openers have yet to be announced. Gavin Rossdale and Bush are touring to promote their new album, “The Sea of Memories,” which produced the band’s first No. 1 alternative rock radio hit in, “The Sound of Winter.” Nickelback are touring in support of their latest disc, “Here and Now,” which entered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 2 last November. Tickets for the newly announced shows will go on sale on March 16 and 17, depending on the market, via Ticketmaster and Live Nation. Fan Club members will be able to score tickets early, and for details on that, head to Nickelback’s official website.
In other band news, Nickelback are up for four Juno Awards in their homeland of Canada, including Group of the Year, Album of the Year for “Here and Now,” Single of the Year for “When We Stand Together” and the Juno Fan Choice Award. The Juno’s are basically the equivalent of the Grammys in Canada. The group will perform a track during the broadcast of the 2012 Juno Awards on April 1.
