Shinedown Perform ‘Bully’ Unplugged
Watch Shinedown perform acoustic version of ‘Bully’
Shinedown release their fourth studio album, “Amaryllis,” March 27, and the album’s debut single, “Bully,” is already No. 1 at Active Rock Radio. The song embraces Shinedown’s union of soulful vocals and heavy guitars, with powerful riffing, punctuate melodies, catchy fills and the band’s always-inspiring lyrics. While the song is a heavy tune, Shinedown showed fans the softer side of “Bully” this week with an acoustic performance for Kerrang! Watch the video, below.
Shinedown have slowly leaked details about the upcoming new album, including posting several tracks from the album for streaming, such as “Adrenaline,” “Unity,” “Through the Ghost,” “Nowhere Kids” and others.
“I’ve always seen Shinedown as its own entity – this living thing that’s been growing and developing and evolving over the past 10 years,” Shinedown frontman Brent Smith said of the new album. “During the recording, the vision of what Shinedown is and where it’s going became completely clear. ‘Amaryllis’ is the manifestation of that vision, the centerpiece of what Shinedown is. It reflects on everything we’ve done and where we’re heading.”
Shinedown are set to headline the 2012 Avalanche Tour, which kicks off March 27 in Anaheim, Calif. The run also features Adelitas Way, Art of Dying and New Medicine. Shinedown are also slated to play Rock on the Range 2012, which takes place May 18 through 20 at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. Other artists on Rock on the Range this year include Incubus, 12 Stones, Five Finger Death Punch, Lacuna Coil, P.O.D. and more. (Photo credit: James Minchin III.)
