Paramore Tap Nine Inch Nails and Beck Bass Player to Produce New Album
Alternative rockers Paramore have announced the producing for their fourth studio album
New Paramore is on the way! The female-fronted alternative rock band have announced who they’ve chosen to produce their upcoming fourth studio album, which is the first step towards getting some new music from the camp. Frontwoman Hayley Williams recently wrote a message on the group’s official blog announcing that that former Nine Inch Nails and Beck bass player Justin Meldal-Johnsen will be taking on the role of producer for Paramore’s upcoming album. That should make for some interesting sounds!
Williams also gave some insight into the band’s current state of mind in the note, saying that even though the “the first few months of writing were ridiculously draining and a lot more of a pain than a pleasure,” the group are now ready to hit the studio. Williams also revealed that Paramore have already recorded new album’s first track, titled “Daydreaming.”
“We weren’t exactly sure how [‘Daydreaming’] was going to go or that the end result would be something we actually wanted to use, it was all very exciting,” Williams wrote. “At the end of our time in the studio, it was clear to us that this was definitely right!”
Fans hoping to hear new tracks soon will be disappointed, though, as Williams says Paramore are going to take their time on the release. “Usually, we are rushing to make a very strict deadline which so far has just not been right for this record,” she wrote. “We cannot assure you it will be out this year. What we can tell you is that from now on, when we go in to create this thing, whether for a day at a time or for a month, you will be kept more informed.”
