Gwen Stefani-Fronted No Doubt Announces New Album Release Date
Alternative rock band No Doubt are set to release their new album in September
Over a decade has passed since alternative pop-rock band No Doubt has released an album of originals, but fans finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Now, Gwen Stefani and her band have finally pinned down an official release date for their new album: Sept. 25, 2012. The upcoming disc, which is yet-to-be-titled, will be the follow up to 2001’s “Rock Steady.”
Stefani and the gang announced the exciting news via a video and also posted a message on their website stating, “We are incredibly excited to share the new music with you. Ear candy coming your way!” The group added, “Thank you all so much for your support over the last 25 years. We’re really proud of our new album and we hope you love it as much as we do.” Watch the video of the band making the announcement, below.
A lot has happened in the world of No Doubt since “Rock Steady” hit the ears of alternative rock fans in the early-2000s. Stefani unleashed two solo albums, as well as a full-fledged fashion line and fragrances. She also became a mother with husband Gavin Rossdale (of alternative rock band Bush) to two boys: Kingston and Zuma. Will motherhood change Stefani and No Doubt’s sound or the subject matter of their songs? Only time will tell. In the meantime, visit No Doubt’s official website for updates on the new album.
