Slash and Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators Announce Summer 2012 Tour
Slash and Myles Kennedy are set to tour Canada and the U.S. this summer
Fans of Slash who were upset that the Guns N’ Roses guitarist wasn’t going to hit their town on his spring 2012 tour are in luck, as Slash has announced a whole new round of summer 2012 tour dates. Whereas Slash’s current tour wraps up May 26 in Albuquerque, N.M., Slash’s new lineup of dates kicks off July 12 in Portland, Ore., and wraps August 4 in Huntington, N.Y. Find the full list of new tour dates, below, and for Slash’s current spring tour, go here.
Alter Bridge singer Myles Kennedy will be on tour with Slash for the whole trek. Kennedy sings leads and co-writes tracks on Slash’s upcoming album, “Apocolyptic Love,” which arrives in stores and online on May 22.
For the upcoming album, Slash and “Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators” — Myles, Brent Fitz (drums) and Todd Kerns (bass) — sat down with producer Eric Valentine, who also produced the “Slash” album. “Slash” debuted No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart and No. 1 on the Billboard Rock chart, so hooking back up with Valentine is a killer move. In addition to Kennedy lending his famously killer tenor to the set, he also co-wrote all of the songs on the album with Slash– a special treat for Alter Bridge fans who get the album.
In other Slash news, the guitarist will be performing at Rock on the Range music festival in Columbus, Ohio, on May 19 and Rocklahoma in Pryor, Okla., on May 25. (Photo: MSO Pr.)
