Demon Hunter to Release ‘True Defiance’ on Vinyl This Week
Heavy metallers Demon Hunter are out on the True Defiance Tour
Seattle metal boys Demon Hunter have something special planned for this Tuesday (July 31). The gents are prepping the release of a limited, one-time vinyl pressing of 1,000 copies of their current album, “True Defiance.” The package includes two records, housed in an un-coated gatefold jacket, and it’s available for pre-order on Demon Hunter’s website. “True Defiance” arrived on Solid State Records in April of this year.
In other news, Demon Hunter are currently headlining the True Defiance Tour, which runs through Aug. 5 in Boise, Idaho. The tour also boasts Bleeding Through, Cancer Bats, the Plot in You and Willows as part of the lineup. Find a complete list of tour date on the band’s official Facebook page.
Demon Hunter frontman Ryan Clark recently caught up with Audio Ink Radio to give his thoughts on the state of modern heavy metal music. Overall, he said the best way to describe metal today is that it’s “interesting.”
“…Now I’m not one to set a bunch of rules here, but I’m pretty sure the feelings of true metal lovers are fairly unanimous,” Clark explained. “For starters, making metal palatable for your average 14-year-old Bruno Mars fan (whether that’s through the music itself, or in how it’s presented) is despicable. Heavy metal should not appear safe…” Read more of Clark’s thoughts here.
