Jane’s Addiction Book Lollapalooza After Party, Give Away New Album
Lollapalooza’s official after party is set for Aug. 4 at Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom
It’s officially official: Jane’s Addition will get their party on following Lollapalooza at an after party on Aug. 4 at Chicago’s famed Aragon Ballroom. Jane’s will perform live, and they’re in the process of picking some up-and-comers to open the show.
“Over the years the after show has become an important part of the Lollapalooza experience,” Jane’s Addiction frontman and Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell said in an official statement regarding the after party.
“This year, on the Saturday night of Lolla weekend, we’re going to take the after party to an even higher place,” he added. “Get ready for a next level after show Chicago!”
In other Lollapalooza news, the band is giving away their current album, “The Great Escape Artist,” as a free download on Lollapalooza’s homepage for a limited time. Score!
After Lollapalooza wraps this August, Jane’s will go right back on the road to support “The Great Escape Artist,” touring with the likes of Mute Math, Band of Skulls and Antwoord. The group will also be inducted into the Hollywood Hall of Fame next year, during the Hall’s 25th anniversary year.
Lollapalooza is set for Aug. 3 through 5 in Chicago’s Grant Park, packing in alternative-themed headliners Black Sabbath, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jack White, the Black Keys, Florence & the Machine and plenty more.
