No Doubt singer gearing up to release new album, ‘Push and Shove’
No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani is just as known for her fashion as her music, and last week, the blonde-haired singer was spotted wearing a classic Nirvana T-shirt, paying tribute to the pioneers of grunge. Audio Ink Radio loves to see Stefani honoring her roots with this kind of shout-out. Check out the photos via the Daily Mail.
Of course, right now, music is at the forefront of Stefani’s mind. She’s gearing up to release her latest album with No Doubt, “Push and Shove,” which will hit stores and online outlets on Sept. 18. “Push and Shove” will mark the band’s first album of originals in eleven years.
Stefani says that getting back together with No Doubt simply felt natural. “There’s nothing that compares to being in a band with your best friends you’ve known all these years,” Stefani told Vulture. “Playing live is so automatic and so electric.”
She added that the years she spent as a solo artist were really just a fun luxury, not anything to serious. “That whole period when I got to do [solo] records, to me it was indulging my theatrical side, and getting to be really creative that way; like, do costumes, and costume changes; do music that was electronic and not have to worry about a drummer or anything else — songs that were never really meant to be taken seriously, just for fun. It was just a project I did that was very inspired, and it kind of got a little out of control, really. [Laughs.]”
