A Perfect Circle Announce Sole 2012 U.S. Concert
Maynard James Keenan-fronted A Perfect Circle will play Las Vegas this December
Fans of Maynard James Keenan’s melodic rock group A Perfect Circle will be stoked to hear that the enigmatic band has booked a U.S. gig towards the end of the year. A Perfect Circle will perform at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Dec. 29. Tickets for the show go on sale this Saturday (Sept. 15) via Ticketmaster.
Last year marked a reunion of sorts for A Perfect Circle, who reconnected at heavy music festival Rock on the Range 2011 in Columbus, Ohio, and went on to play a North American tour. There’s no word on when fans can expect a new album to drop, but this December’s show stop is a surprise, so it’s possible more A Perfect Circle activity is brewing.
Audio Ink Radio caught up with A Perfect Circle guitarist Billy Howerdel during the band’s touring rounds last year, and he explained how being the guitar tech for Tool and Nine Inch Nails helped him prepare for taking on the lead guitar role in A Perfect Circle.
“I was definitely the geeky guy that got fully immersed in things, with guitars or whatever rig I was working on,” Howerdel said. “It was all about learning everything I could, which was both a blessing and a curse. It’s nice to get into things, but you kind of socially retract for a bit and get fully involved with what you’re working on…” For more on A Perfect Circle, head to the group’s official website.
