Kid Rock is campaigning in support of Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney
Kid Rock’s much-anticipated new album, “Rebel Soul,” is due out Nov. 19. While he’s keeping busy with promotion for the upcoming release, Kid Rock is also taking time out to dabble in politics, as the singer and guitarist is slated to introduce Congressman Ryan at a rally near Detroit, Mich., this week.
The rally will happen at Oakland University’s Athletics Center O’rena in Rochester, Mich., at 7 EDT on Monday, Oct. 8, according to a release. Ryan is appearing in support of Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney’s campaign to get to the White House.
As for Kid Rock’s new album, “Rebel Soul,” the disc is Kid Rock’s follow-up to his 2010 release “Born Free.” Kid Rock produced the album in his personal recording studio at his Detroit-area home, and the album’s first single, “Let’s Ride,” is currently at rock radio. “Let’s Ride” is a patriotic ditty with a hard rock riff and country swagger, in true Kid Rock tradition. The song focuses on the military, with lines such as, “Come on and grab your guns let’s ride / May your conscience be your guide / I’ll say a prayer for you to make it through to the other side / Tonight’s the night we fight or die.”
