The Rolling Stones Announce 2012 Live Shows
Classic rockers the Rolling Stones have booked four shows through the end of this year
The rumors are finally confirmed: Legendary rockers the Rolling Stones are set to play some live gigs this year, albeit just a few key stops.
The band dropped the news via a video posted on their official website, in which the Stones announce they will rock a total of four shows over November and December. The mini-tour is being called “50 & Counting: The Rolling Stones Live,” as a tribute to the Stones’ 50th anniversary as a band. You can watch the announcement video below.
The Stones’ first two shows are scheduled for London’s O2 Arena on Nov. 25 and 29, and the following two shows will happen at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., on Dec. 13 and 15. The concerts are in support of the classic rock band’s forthcoming multi-disc compilation set, “GRRR!,” out Nov. 12.
Tickets for the London date are already on sale, while the Newark shows will go on sale this Saturday (Oct. 20). For more information on the new gigs and the Stones’ upcoming compilation release, head to the band’s official wesbite.
